Performance experience

My experience as a performer is wide ranging and encompasses multiple genres and performance settings. My formal training took place at the Birmingham Conservatoire (2000-2006) where I achieved Undergraduate (1st Class) and Postgraduate degrees (Distinction) in Percussion Performance, winning awards and prizes within institutional competitions along the way.

Since graduation I have performed around the UK and Internationally at leading venues, festivals and drum/percussion events across Pop/Rock, Classical, Jazz and World Music settings. My activity combines session based, freelance work and membership of established creative ensembles. I was awarded Honorary Membership (HonRBC) of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2013 for success within the music industry since graduation.

I am a versatile instrumentalist and perform on a wide range of percussion instruments including drum kit, marimba, vibraphone, timpani/orchestral percussion, keyboard/piano, FX percussion, Popular Music stage percussion and, occasionally, bass guitar!
